Watchlists & Discovery
Use watchlists to turn a broad universe of instruments into a focused list of names worth reviewing.
Personal watchlists
Add a ticker from the chart hero to Favorites or to one of your personal watchlists. Use a watchlist for a purpose, not simply as a long list of symbols.
Favorites
A quick inbox for names you want to revisit soon.
Setups
Separate lists for breakouts, pullbacks, earnings candidates or long-term research.
- Search for a ticker and open its chart.
- Select the watchlist control near the ticker identity.
- Add the instrument to Favorites or choose an existing list.
- Use Manage lists to rename, organise or remove lists and members.
From scanner to chart
The scanner is best used as a discovery tool. It produces candidates; the chart helps you decide whether a candidate deserves a plan.
- Run a focused scan, such as trend continuation or unusual volume.
- Open a candidate in the chart.
- Check higher-timeframe trend, nearby levels, volatility and liquidity.
- Add only the best candidates to a purpose-specific watchlist.
- Create alerts for the levels that would confirm or invalidate the setup.
Keep the list actionable: if a ticker has no clear next action, move it to a research list or remove it. A smaller watchlist is easier to review consistently.
A simple daily routine
| When | Action |
|---|---|
| Before the session | Review alerts, earnings and news for your active lists. |
| After a scan | Inspect chart context before adding a name to a setup list. |
| After the close | Update or remove invalidated setups; preserve only the names with a defined thesis. |
